Lost Dog Mode

Find your dog with a real Bluetooth beacon scanner that works offline — no internet, no cell signal. Scan, select your dog's beacon, and follow the radar back home.

How the scanner works

  • Uses your phone's Bluetooth to scan for your dog's BLE beacon — no internet or cell signal needed.
  • Tap "Start BLE Scan" to list nearby devices. Each shows its name and signal strength (RSSI) only.
  • Pick your dog's beacon to track it. We never show MAC addresses or private identifiers — just the name and signal.
  • The radar screen shows signal strength, a closer/farther indicator, and vibrates as the signal grows stronger.
  • Scans refresh continuously every 1–2 seconds. Walk around and watch the signal climb as you near your dog.

Quick tips

  • Turn on your dog's beacon before you start scanning.
  • Stronger signal (closer to 0 dBm) means your dog is nearer.
  • If the signal drops, change direction and scan again.
  • Works in woods, trails, and campus — anywhere Bluetooth reaches.

Note: Live BLE scanning works best in Chrome on Android or desktop. Some browsers don't support Web Bluetooth scanning.
